Why exterior cleaning needs specialist Meta Ads
Exterior cleaning is not a generic home services niche. Window cleaning, roof washing, pressure washing, power washing, soft washing, gutter cleaning, solar panel cleaning and holiday lighting all have different buyer intent, different visuals and different job values. A campaign that treats every service the same usually creates messy reporting and inconsistent lead quality.
My approach is to build campaigns around the service being sold, the service area, the offer, the creative angle and the follow-up process. The goal is not only low cost per lead. The goal is qualified local enquiries that can move into estimates and booked jobs.
Campaign structure
I prefer separating major services into clear campaign or ad set structures. Window cleaning leads should not be mixed blindly with roof washing or holiday lighting. Pressure washing and power washing can share some creative ideas, but their keywords and customer language can still be different. Separating the structure makes it easier to understand which service is driving lead volume, CPL and quality.
Creative angles that work
Exterior cleaning has a strong advantage: the result is visible. Before-after creative, dirty-to-clean transformations, crew professionalism, neighbourhood proof and seasonal offers can all become strong Meta Ads assets. For roof washing, trust and safety matter. For window cleaning, clarity and polished property visuals matter. For pressure washing, the transformation needs to be obvious in the first few seconds.
Lead form quality
Lead forms should be simple, but not empty. I usually want enough qualification to understand the service needed, location, timeline and property type. Cheap leads that never answer the phone are not useful. The form and follow-up system should help filter low-intent submissions without making the process too difficult for good prospects.
Optimization framework
Weekly optimization should include CPL, lead volume, frequency, creative fatigue, campaign delivery, location performance and feedback from the sales team. The best campaigns are not always the cheapest ones. A slightly higher CPL can be better if those leads turn into bigger roof washing jobs, recurring commercial window cleaning work or seasonal holiday lighting installs.
